Job Summary:
The Resource Center & Pre-Employment Lifeskills Coordinator provides leadership and oversight of Aunt Leah’s New Westminster Resource Centre, a vibrant, trauma-informed space supporting youth from foster care and vulnerable mothers. This supervisory role manages a range of integrated life skills and employment-readiness programs — including Bootstraps, Food Security, Branches, Lifeskills Workshops, and Sharing Circle — with a focus on meeting basic needs, building confidence and connection, and developing the life skills necessary for long-term self-sufficiency.

The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Resource Centre and directly supervising staff involved in Life Skills and Bootstraps programming. In collaboration with the Director of Training & Lifeskills, the Coordinator also supports the supervision and daily guidance of the Resource Center Administrator. With strong organizational and managerial skills, this role leads program planning, delivery, evaluation, and reporting. The Coordinator also builds and maintains partnerships with community and employer stakeholders, and contributes to strategic planning and program development in alignment with Aunt Leah’s mission and funding requirements.

Reports To: Director of Training and Lifeskills Programs

Compensation: $33.00 / hr.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2 years post-secondary education in Social Services, Education, or a related field, and/or a relevant combination of education and experience combined with general suitability

· Minimum 2 years experience in program coordination and staff supervision

· Experience supporting youth from government care and marginalized populations

Requirements:

· Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including vulnerable persons) and Local Police Information Check

· MCFD clearance

Assets:

· A valid BC driver’s license, access to a vehicle with $5,000,000 in business liability insurance, and clean driver’s abstract

· Food Safe Certification

· Mental Health First Aid Certification

· Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA):

· Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and cultural safety

· Excellent communication, organizational, and facilitation skills

· Strong leadership and team supervision skills

· Ability to support diverse learning styles and deliver programming in non-traditional environments

· Experience in community engagement and partnership development

· Proficient in data tracking, reporting, and outcomes-based evaluation

· Ability to support youth in achieving life skills and employment-related goals

· Understanding of logic models, theories of change, or outcomes-based programming in community or youth services

Working Conditions:

· This position may require working occasional evenings and weekends and travel to various locations within Metro Vancouver

· Works primarily in an office setting from the New Westminster head office

· Hours of work – 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours a day) generally Monday to Friday (9:00 am to 5:00 pm); with the ability to be flexible as per business needs

· On-call as scheduled on the on-call roster
