- Overseeing reservations for all dining areas and ensuring reserved tables are set for the correct number of people prior to lunch and dinner service.
- Maintain a waitlist on Open table when immediate seating is limited and seat guests within 5 minutes of the given wait time.
- Understand table numbering procedures and rotate tables properly through server sections.
- All walk-in members will be checked-in via their member profile in the reservations software
- Identification of all reservations marked as QQQ by the Club, and proactively confirming all details of their booking while ascertaining any additional needs or requests.
- Checking Members in, taking them to their assigned table and providing them with menus.
- Checking how the Members dining experience was upon departure, before bidding the Member and their family or guests a fond farewell.
- Providing servers with any additional information regarding member preferences, special requests, celebrations or dietary information.
- Utilizing NorthStar and OpenTable to create daily floor plans for service.
- Completing daily confirmation calls for booked reservations by standard deadline (2pm for dinner, previous day for lunch).
- Answer any emails or phone calls that pertain to the operation in a friendly and professional manner.
- Entering Members preferences, special occasions, recovery information, into Members profiles.
- Setting dining rooms prior to meal periods as per Member needs and requests. (high chairs etc.).
- Organizing daily function sheets and communicating with servers and managers all special requests.
- Printing, maintenance, sanitation and general care for all menus, including additional materials such as colouring crayons. Will take ownership over inventory levels of such items, and request additional inventory as necessary to ensure adequate menu quantities for service.
- Ensure any company iPads, or other mobile devices, are plugged in and safely stored after each meal period.
- Checking service stations for menus throughout the shift, including at the end of meal periods and at the end of any work shift, and returning all items to their appropriate storage locations at the reservation desk.
- Send out the nightly end of shift Covers Report.
- Assisting with reservations for social events within the Club. (E.g. Cocktails and Canapes, NYE)
- Adhere to strict levels of organization and tidiness for the Reservation desks and surrounding service areas and ensure it is presentable before, during, and after service.
- Report all problems / issues to the restaurant Managers, even if resolved to ensure member follow up if necessary.
- Actively demonstrate teamwork, sincerity, helpfulness and courtesy.
- Front line staff are empowered to solve problems immediately and escalate to managers if necessary.

- Minimum Grade 12 education and 1 year related work experience.
- Fluent in English (Written and Verbal)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in a clear and articulate manner.
- Excellent command of telephone and email etiquette.
- Emotionally Mature, Respectful and Sincere.
- Excellent Communication and Social Skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong organization skills and able to prioritize and take direction.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Smart Serve Certification.
- Knowledge of Excel and Google Suite applications is an asset.
- Understanding all policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and specifications.
- Full Time Staff - Required to have open availability including weekends, weekdays, holidays, AM and PM.
