We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our Quality team!

As a Quality Assurance Inspector you will monitor the quality of in-process and outgoing products, to conduct tests, to analyze measurements, to oversee production processes for conformance to procedures, and to determine any needs for corrective actions in the production process. You possess a trained eye for detail, will be reliable and committed, and will be a firm advocate of quality in our business.
This is a full-time, permanent position, with an excellent benefits package, and room for growth.
Shift:
- Monday to Thursday 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM (4 x 10)
- Monday to Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (4 x 10)
- Weekends as needed
- Perform tensile testing, dimensional and gauge inspections for in-process and outgoing products to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain records of testing, inspection and various metrics
- Initiate and administrate Nonconforming Material Reports, Corrective Actions
- Calibrate measuring tools, monitor the use of the tools on production floor
- Evaluate returned products and coordinate quality problems with relevant department
- Collect, measure and prepare die trial samples
- Verify production control sheets as well as performing production checks such as product temperature, weight, sensory, and texture, CCP, etc.
- Work with production team and ensures production processes and parameters meet specifications
- Audit of production procedures to ensure their conformance and effectiveness
- Working knowledge of automated machinery
- Have a mechanical skill to work with hand tools and basic equipment
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Excellent organization skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Excellent understanding of metrology
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or within a team environment at all levels of employees
- Minimum 3+ years of proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role within the manufacturing industry
- Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
- Experience working in ISO 9001 environment is an asset
