Nova Scotia Power is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Quality Assurance Analyst to support the testing and validation efforts of our ERP Transformation project. Reporting to the Test Lead, this role will be embedded within the business stream to ensure that functional and technical requirements are accurately translated into test scenarios and that the solution meets quality standards across all phases of delivery.
Key elements of this role include:
- Collaborating with business analysts, SMEs, and implementation partners to understand requirements, develop test cases, and execute testing activities across unit, system integration (SIT), user acceptance (UAT), and regression cycles
- Documenting and tracking test results, logging defects, and coordinating resolution efforts with development and configuration teams
- Validating ERP solutions (e.g., Oracle Fusion, Powerplan) against business needs and design specifications, ensuring traceability between requirements, test cases, and outcomes
- Acting as a liaison between the testing team and business streams to clarify requirements, validate coverage, and support UAT planning and execution, including training, issue triage, and feedback collection
- Using test management tools to execute and track activities, maintaining reusable test scripts, and contributing to automation strategies where applicable
- Maintaining comprehensive testing documentation and providing regular updates to the Test Lead on progress, risks, and quality metrics
These skills will make you successful:
- 3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, preferably in ERP or finance system implementations.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies and lifecycle management.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., utilities, public sector).
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Exposure to ITIL processes and service management tools.
- Oracle certifications in ERP modules or testing tools.
