We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, helping to create delicious meals that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Follow recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager to ensure consistency in meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle food items properly to prevent contamination and ensure freshness.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with various cooking methods are advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $17.20-$30.00 per hour
