Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various payroll systems and accounting software. The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department and Account Payable.
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time using systems such as Workday, ADP, or Kronos.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within HRIS platforms.
- Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the HR team to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Utilize accounting software for bookkeeping tasks and financial analysis.
- Prepare payroll reports, payroll journal, payroll metrics and compliance as needed.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate holds a Canadian Payroll designation and in good standing.
- Proficiency in payroll systems such as PayWorks, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to payroll processing.
- Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Familiarity with analysis skills for reviewing payroll data and identifying trends.
- Previous experience in payroll is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay: $54,301.61-$65,000.00 per year
