Part-Time Marketing & Community Outreach Coordinator (20 hrs/week)

About Us
We are a busy and growing gym and recreation facility in Penticton that offers unique programs for youth (goal is to increase to adults as well). Our focus is on building a strong, positive community through active and engaging experiences.
We’re looking for a hands-on, creative, and community-driven Marketing & Outreach Coordinator to help us grow awareness, build partnerships, and drive participation in our programs.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and execute local marketing initiatives (events, flyers, partnerships, sponsorships, promotions)
- Actively engage with the Penticton community to build connections with schools, local businesses, and organizations
- Coordinate and promote special events and seasonal programs
- Develop and distribute marketing materials (posters, newsletters, email campaigns)
- Manage a basic social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) — but with emphasis on in-person outreach over screen time
- Track and report on results, including membership and program growth
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4+ years of proven experience in marketing, event coordination, or community outreach
- Strong people skills — comfortable networking and representing our gym in the community
- Organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple projects
- Digital skills (basic graphics, social media, email marketing), but equally excited to get out in the community than just post online
- Passion for recreation, fitness, or youth programming is an asset
