Job Description: YLaw continues to expand, and we are now looking forward to welcoming an Intermediate or Senior paralegal/legal assistant to our Vancouver location. We’re searching for a motivated and passionate person to be part of our team.
We are looking for someone who has experience in family law to work with 1-2 senior family law lawyers. This will include the typical tasks of calendar management, task management, preparing for interim court applications and trials and everything in between.
We provide excellent compensation, benefits, work-life balance, and a great team of lawyers, paralegals, and support staff as described above. You would work with 1 to 2 family law lawyers on a full-time, hybrid basis – meaning approximately 3 days from the office and 1 day from home. We offer 4 day work weeks for our legal assistants and our days off are generally Wednesdays.
The ideal candidate would:
- Be community-oriented meaning someone who wants to give, work with others, and have the best interests of not just themselves but the entire group in mind;
- Be extremely detail-oriented and organized;
- Be knowledgeable with BC Supreme Court and BC Provincial Court Rules, court forms, and litigation steps;
- Have a minimum of 4 years legal assistant or paralegal experience in litigation, preferably in family law;
- Be fun, communicative, and a team player;
- Want to work in a meaningful environment and on a long-term basis.

Compensation:
- Ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 for an intermediate to senior paralegal or legal assistant.
