We are looking for a friendly, organized, patient centered individual to fill the role of medical receptionist on our team. This person would be responsible for:
- Greeting patients as they approach the front desk of the clinic
- Answer phones and retrieve voicemail messages
- Schedule appointments and update patient appointments
- Ensure patients have the correct exam preparation at time of booking and check-in
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Handle incoming and outgoing faxes and electronic requisition requests
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff as needed
- Provide basic information to patients about clinic services, such as hours of operation and location
- Perform general office tasks such as scanning, and copying documents
- Handle patient complaints and direct them to appropriate personnel if needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by clinic manager
Requirements:
- Medical Office Administration Certificate
- 3+ years of medical office experience
Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
- Attention to detail and accuracy are required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
