We are hiring a medical office Assistant.
Duties include scheduling appointments, billing preparation, compiling and recording medical charts, reports, and correspondence
Answer telephones to direct calls or provide information.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments and medical consultations.
Operate office equipment, such as voice mail messaging systems, and use word processing, spreadsheet, or other software applications to prepare reports
Maintain medical records, technical library, or correspondence files
Compile and record medical charts, reports, or correspondence, using the Electronic Medical Record system.
Receive and route messages or documents, such as laboratory results, to appropriate staff.
Relay information between personnel.
Transmit correspondence or medical records by mail, e-mail, or fax.
Send information, materials, or documentation.
Schedule tests or procedures for patients, such as lab work or x-rays, based on physician orders
Perform various clerical or administrative functions, such as ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies.
Order materials, supplies, or equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- St. Thomas, ON N5R 4P5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- DCS / DEC (preferred)
Experience:
- medical office assistant: 1 year (preferred)
