Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Wrapper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meat products are properly packaged, labeled, and displayed for customers. This position requires a strong focus on quality, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards within the grocery store environment.
Responsibilities
- Wrap, package, and label meat products according to company standards.
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory management.
- Utilize RF scanners for accurate tracking of products and inventory.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload products as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the meat department, including regular maintenance tasks.
- Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising products to enhance visibility and sales.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations in shipping & receiving processes.
- Perform heavy lifting as required while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for effective inventory management.
- Experience operating RF scanners, forklifts, and pallet jacks in a warehouse or retail setting.
- Background in retail sales or grocery store operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of produce handling, packaging techniques, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with cleaning protocols and maintaining a sanitary work environment.
- Proficiency in retail math for accurate pricing and inventory assessments.
