The Marketing Coordinator supports investor communications, public relations, media outreach, and community partnerships. This role plays a key part in strengthening Basecamp Resorts’ brand awareness, reputation, real estate sales, and fundraising initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Marketing Director and collaborates with other marketing team members including design, web, advertising, and production.
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 depending on experience
Shifts: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Canmore or Calgary, AB with regular presence in both locations
Key Responsibilities:
Investor Marketing & Communication
- Prepare and deliver communications updates for investors in collaboration with the Sales team.
- Support the creation and distribution of investor reports, presentations, and related materials.
- Provide logistical and communications support for investor outreach, including webinars, email campaigns, and in-person events.
- Plan and promote investor events, real estate launches, and spa openings.
- Support the execution of PR strategies through media outreach, story pitching, and campaign coordination.
- Draft press releases, media kits, and editorial content for local and national media.
- Assist with organizing press trips and maintaining relationships with media contacts.
- Help maintain connections with journalists, freelance writers, influencers, and bloggers.
- Provide support in crisis communication response efforts.
- Draft internal communications and updates for staff and leadership newsletters.
- Assist with timely and accurate responses to media inquiries.
- Support community engagement and partnership activities as directed.
- Help ensure tourism boards and chambers of commerce receive timely updates on Basecamp events and initiatives.
- Assist in nurturing partnerships with local businesses, POW/veritree, and other organizations.
- Track sponsorship requests and provide recommendations for opportunities.
- Help coordinate and deliver community-driven events, activations, and partner marketing initiatives.
- Provide support at trade shows, industry associations, and networking events.
- Assist with webinar logistics and ensure information is shared with the sales team.
- Support influencer partnerships by scheduling, coordinating deliverables, and monitoring content execution.
- Ensure influencer collaborations are documented and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Assist with blog content development, including writing, editing and sourcing images.
- Provide support with media asset creation and updating website copy.
- Help organize and maintain digital content libraries.
- Conduct research to identify funding opportunities, and industry awards.
- Provide input and support for communications strategies.
- Help ensure messaging aligns with Basecamp’s brand voice and mission.
- Assist with the coordination of PR campaigns that build visibility and reputation.
- Support the coordination of media, social media, and digital marketing efforts for events and campaigns.
- Proofread and review written and digital materials to ensure consistency with brand standards.
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in a marketing or sales support role.
- Hospitality industry experience is a plus.
- Strong writing and copywriting skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
- Proficiency in SMS marketing platforms, email marketing tools, and content management systems.
- Comfortable with graphic design and creative tools (experience preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- To be tech-savvy.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
