Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service and support to residents, responding promptly to issues and service requests.
- Perform general and specialized maintenance across interior suites, common areas, and surrounding properties.
- Complete service requests and unit turnovers, including repairs/replacements of appliances, fixtures, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
- Inspect and maintain building grounds, facilities, and equipment, addressing issues proactively.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free workspaces, including mechanical, electrical, and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation (Health & Safety, WHMIS, AODA, PIPEDA, Human Rights).
- Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or unsafe practices.
- Document maintenance activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as part of the on-call rotation.
- Work with and oversee contractors as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in property or building maintenance.
- On-call availability for evenings and weekends is required.
- Skilled in the use of basic tools and general maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting).
- Trade certification or license is an asset.
- Knowledge of multi-residential environments and community regulations is an asset.
- WHMIS certification and familiarity with HVAC/mechanical systems are considered assets.
