Posting Summary

Elmwood Group is looking to fill the position of Building Supplies Associate. The Building Supplies Associate must demonstrate excellent customer service by providing information, estimates & quotations to our customers in regards to their renovation projects.

This position will also develop and build relationships with contractors; accounts owners and dyi'ers (Do It Yourselfers).

And maintain a high level of product knowledge - lumber, building materials, hardware and related items, building permits and local building codes.

The Building Supplies Associate must possess the following:

• high school diploma, ged, or equivalent

• 1 year of experience in retail

• Flexibility with strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to work individually as well as part of a team

• Have a positive, friendly and helpful attitude

• Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options and solutions

• Proficient mathematical, computer and telephone skills

• Demonstrated organizational & time management skills

• Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment

• High level of integrity and work ethic

• Previous experience in construction is an asset

• Bilingualism is an asset
