We have an opening for an experienced litigation assistant. This is a permanent, full-time position at our Kamloops office. We offer a flexible 35-hour work week and a competitive total compensation package. We understand and encourage a healthy work-life balance.
We are a forward-thinking law firm located in Uptown Kamloops with 7 accomplished lawyers and several support staff. The successful candidate will take ownership of a challenging and rewarding workload.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited legal administrative assistant program (or equivalence in experience);
- At least 3 years of experience in a legal environment supporting a litigation Lawyer;
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- The ability to handle stringent deadlines and the volume of a busy practice;
- Excellent organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail;
- The ability to manage a variety of incoming requests and prioritize the workload to meet deadlines; and
- General administrative duties as required.
Additionally, you will also possess the following attributes:
- Exceptional computer skills and technologically savvy;
- A client centered approach and commitment to providing friendly service to clients;
- A self-motivated and proactive approach;
- The ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and adapt to changing demands; and
