As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant with some experience in providing support in all phases of family law and civil litigation, including client intake, case preparation, document management, filing, and trial support. Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills are assets but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- File legal documents at various levels of court and tribunals
- Assist with client intake, conducting searches, trial preparation, exhibit management, application records, and hearing binders
- Provides administrative and general office support such as scanning, photocopying, faxing, scheduling and calendar management, phone calls with internal and external parties, and mail
- Coordinate service of documents
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
- Preparing client accounts
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in family law and civil litigation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Knowledge of filing procedures and practices
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate is an asset but not required
