Who We Are:
Pacific Rim Engineered Products (PREP), a Wikov Company, is a leading provider of industrial engineered solutions for various industrial sectors from marine, oil and gas, and mining to renewable markets including hydropower. We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Systems Administrator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure at our primary location in Surrey, BC as well as our offices on Vancouver Island, Ontario and future expansions.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP, PLM & System Administration:
- Oversee administration of ERP, PLM, and IT systems, including maintenance, patching, and performance tuning.
- Support implementation of new ERP/PLM solutions, upgrades, and module rollouts.
Infrastructure & Network Management:
- Administer and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and related hardware.
- Collaborate with development teams to support continuous integration and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins.
- Support core network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN, remote access) and ensure high system availability.
- Maintain server infrastructure (physical/virtual), storage, and backup systems.
Policy, Documentation & Compliance:
- Partner with department managers to align IT systems with operational goals.
- Support application development and systems integration efforts.
Other Duties:
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for escalated support and system improvements.
- Participate in IT projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Attributes and Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or related fields is an asset
- MCSA/MCSE certification is an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in systems administration, ERP, and PLM.
- Familiarity with SyteLine ERP and Windchill/Creo PLM is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2003–2019), Windows OS, and Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of Visual Basic .NET.
- Experience with relational databases (Access, SQL Server 2016–2019).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proven ability to manage projects and write functional/technical documentation.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
