About the job:

Are you interested in creating opportunities for Indigenous youth and young adults that have a meaningful, lasting impact? We’re looking for a motivated, caring, and community-minded individual to join our team as the Indigenous Training Program Coordinator.

In this rewarding role, you will recruit, mentor, and guide trainees as they explore career paths within Community Services, including the possibility of roles in other departments. With guidance from the Senior HR Consultant, you’ll be the main point of contact and key support for the trainees and managers. You will also work to grow the Indigenous Training Program and build strong connections with community partners. If you are excited about this opportunity, we’d be happy to connect with you!

This position may require travel outside of Whitehorse

Conditions of Employment

Must possess and maintain a valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent

Essential Qualifications:

  • A background in providing guidance and support through mentorship, coaching, or supervision in a professional or learning environment.
  • Involvement in developing and delivering training programs, workshops, or related educational initiatives.
  • Participation in collaborative initiatives or projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional growth and development.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations, or Indigenous-focused programs would be an asset.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the above qualifications may be equally considered.
