We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Human Resources Generalist. This position reports to Director of Human Resources and will work in Vancouver, BC.

Dometic Marine’s headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.
About the position
As Human Resources Generalist on the Vancouver team, you will be involved in delivering the full suite of employee and organizational services in both Human Resources Management and Labour Relations disciplines. You will also focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders while delivering high quality business value.
General Responsibilities
- Deliver full-cycle recruitment for unionized roles across all disciplines related to product engineering and CNC manufacturing operations
- Oversee and manage Co-Op Program. Coordinates with academic institutions to maintain and further develop the maturity of the program
- Prepares various and routine reports from HRIS including weekly/monthly/quarterly retention and turnover metrics
- Provide interpretation on policies and programs as necessary
- Update and maintain the HRIS, including new hires, status changes, leaves, terminations
- Benefits administration – assist employees as necessary, process enrolments, updates and terminations within the employee benefit program & HRIS, including MSP, extended health and dental.
- Reconciles monthly invoices of benefits programs and ensures payment schedules are satisfied
- Investigates reported discrepancies with employee benefit policies, coverage or claims
- Onboarding activities including program enrolments, orientation, and training as necessary
- Oversee and assist the Health, Safety & lead on WorkSafe BC claims
- Assist with event-planning and coordination of company events
- Be familiar in the areas of employment law, Human Rights, common law jurisprudence, arbitral law, labour relations, etc.
- Advise and coach management in areas of employee/labour relations, performance management, and talent development
- Facilitate incident investigations including interviews, evidence, and fact-finding meetings
- Complete additional job duties and assignments as necessary

Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in (operational/engineering/manufacturing/etc.) environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary role in Human Resources or related discipline
- At minimum, completion of or working towards diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or another related discipline
- CPHR candidate, experience in Labour Relations, are considered assets

- Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing industry would be an asset
