Your Mission:
The Human Resources & SHEQ Business Partner plays a critical role in driving the People, Leadership, and SHEQ agenda at EES Vancouver by partnering with local leaders to support sustainable growth and organizational transformation. This role ensures compliance with HR and SHEQ regulations and Epiroc policies, equips leaders with the necessary skills to lead effectively, and fosters a company-first approach to safeguarding employees, customers, and stakeholders. Additionally, the Business Partner identifies opportunities to enhance systems and processes for talent attraction and retention, while actively executing strategic initiatives in alignment with regional and global objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Actively drive the local People, Leadership and SHEQ agenda and KPIs aligned with the global and regional People, Leadership and SHEQ strategies and KPIs
- Foster a performance culture that emphasizes continuous learning and development
- Attract, select and develop the best talent to build high performing teams
- Ensure we have a robust pipeline of internal talent performing in their current roles and capable and motivated to develop into new roles in the company.
- Strengthen the local leadership to make sure we have leaders who actively work with People Management and SHEQ to ensure leadership commitment to create lasting results
- Contribute to a lean and agile organizational design, equipped with the necessary skills for the present and future
- Collaborate with the NASA HR Regional Center of Excellence (RCoE) shared service organization to deliver an exceptional employee and manager experience in areas of recruitment, learning and development, and payroll and benefits administration
- Act as a local contact for payroll
- Responsible for people management and sustainability reporting for the entity
- Drive Change management approach when needed
- Execute compensation and benefit strategy including driving the regional pay adjustments and yearly performance calibrations
- Build an internal HR & SHEQ policy framework and ensure compliance with internal Epiroc policies, employee relations, applicable laws, and governmental regulations
- Serve as the primary local contact for employee relations, ensuring respectful and compliant communication and engagement
- Safeguarding of labor relations and provide senior support in labor law issues
- Be a role-model for the digital and data-driven way of working
- Ensure an effective safety management system is in place, enabling risk and incident reporting, risk elimination and safety culture improvements.
- Ensure processes for monitoring SHEQ legal compliance
- Own the local initiatives related to our 2030 environmental targets, also ensuring processes are in place to minimize the resource usage of our operations and reduce environmental risks.
- Monitor that the management system is kept up to date, is used actively as a management tool for our standards and processes and thereby the base for continuous improvement work in the entity.
Your profile:
- 5 years of experience from broad operational HR roles, preferably from similar industry and with SHEQ focus
- Experience of HR transformation initiatives including digitalization
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Behavioral Science
