We are looking to fill the position of HR & Admin Front Desk at Fernie Alpine Resort, reporting to the HR & Admin Coordinators. You are savvy, adaptable, and ready to work with people at all levels of the organization ensuring business is operating efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong written and oral communication skills, experience in an office environment and have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office softwares. You Will:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and visitors, providing professional and courteous front-desk support while assisting with HR-related inquiries and administrative tasks.
  • Support HR & Admin Coordinators with recruitment correspondence and pre-screening of applicants using the StartDate Tracking System
  • Track and follow up on applicants’ status throughout the hiring process
  • Support with the creation of training documents
  • Handle email correspondence, both internal and external
  • Assist in the production of the staff newsletter
  • Interview Employee of the Month winners
  • Oversee staff housing requests, check-ins/outs, cleaner coordination, maintenance queries and tracking inventory
  • Manage freight in and out of the resort
  • Support with Employee Relations Committee meetings
  • Support with winter staff events
  • Provide general Human Resources and OHS Administrative support as needed
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs


You Have:

  • Strong time management skills required, organized, independent worker with an eye for details
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality required
  • Previous experience in office environment required
  • Previous experience with Mailchimp program an asset
  • Previous experience in HR work an asset
  • Strong MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive wage: $20.00-21.00/hour, dependent on experience
