Responsibilities:
-Indigenous culture and knowledge is a must for this position
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Supervise children during playtime, make meals, cleaning and laundry for clients
- Monitor children's behavior and ensure their well-being
- Communicate with caseworkers about their child's or youth's daily activities and progress
- Maintain a clean and organized group home environment, rotating shifts.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a group home setting
- Knowledge of working with child and youths with some degree of trauma, development and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred), child intervention record, police record checks will be required
- High school diploma or equivalent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 50 per week
