We’re looking for a detail-oriented and service-driven professional to support our Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) operations. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the smooth flow of GIC purchases, coordinate settlements, and provide top-tier service to our clients and advisors.
What You’ll Do
You'll help ensure operational excellence across GIC settlements and servicing:
- Review and validate daily order activity
- Process GIC settlements and wire payments via CDS
- Enter and manage GIC purchase orders
- Reconcile GIC commissions and ensure timely distribution to clients and advisors
- Handle corrections and cancellations of GIC transactions
- Support GIC issuer onboarding
- Manage entitlements and maturity payments
- Conduct thorough GIC reconciliations
- Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Resolve client inquiries with care, efficiency, and a solution-focused mindset
- Treat each customer interaction with empathy and attention to detail
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements using continuous improvement methodologies
- Provide hands-on client training to optimize methods and foster understanding
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who is accurate, dependable, and communicates effectively:
- Foundational knowledge of GICs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with investment advisors and issuers
- A customer-first mindset and proactive problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and related functions)
Your Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a brokerage or similar financial services environment
- Direct experience with GICs is an asset
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
