Position Summary:
As a Flatbed Sales & LTL Dispatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for securing freight from customers, negotiating rates, coordinating with drivers, and ensuring on-time delivery. You’ll play a key role in maintaining relationships with clients and keeping operations running smoothly. Pay is relevant to your past experience and skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and carriers
- Secure new freight opportunities via calls, emails, and networking
- Dispatch flatbed and LTL loads efficiently and cost-effectively through online software platforms such as Loadlink, DAT, and Truckstop
- Negotiate rates with customers and brokers
- Track and trace shipments; proactively resolve issues
- Communicate daily with customers and internal teams to maintain communications
- Ensure compliance with MC, DOT and company policies
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in freight sales, dispatching, or logistics
- Strong understanding of freight lanes, rates, and equipment, past experience with customers
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in the Fleetmanager/Transplus software and Microsoft Office
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
