Job Description – DZ Driver/Delivery Driver

We provide our customers with the best, premium quality produce year-round. The DZ Driver/Delivery Driver assumes the following responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all applicable transportation regulated laws and acts to transport product from growers and suppliers to the warehouse, or vice versa.
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of all items, up to 50 lbs.
- Transporting produce safely and efficiently to various locations in Windsor/Essex.
- Ensure driver logs are being properly filled in.
- Ensure the trucks are kept cleaned daily.
- Fill out BOLs, Logs, Packing Slips, etc., in accordance to TriSon Farms policies.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OHSA, Food Safety, WSIB, CFIA, USDA, provincial and federal laws.
- Assist with Shipping and Receiving Team Member duties when not out on deliveries or pickups.
- Ability to follow allocations and load proper produce.
- Ability to accurately count and review product in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Additional Skills
- Valid DZ and G License with at least 3 years experience
- Clean drivers abstract
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Must be able to provide a clean abstract
- A valid forklift license is a plus
Previous experience in delivery or logistics is preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
