Introduction
We are seeking a Director, Account Management – EPCM to join our team. You will be responsible for developing industry and market credibility to manage key accounts, which involves regaining lost, maintaining existing, and expanding business through relationship building and problem-solving for salespeople and customers. Your role plays a crucial part in representing the interests of Metso, which will contribute to positively impacting our market position. In this position, you will report to the Vice President, Minerals.
This position is mainly located in Vancouver, BC. However, it involves up to 50% of travel to customer locations.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of niche experts dedicated to building relationships with engineering companies and supporting projects primarily in Canada and the US. We are currently working on managing projects and interactions with engineering companies and attending trade shows and conferences.
What you’ll do
- Regularly engage with key account decision-makers to gain insight into customer objectives and expectations.
- Advise Area Sales Managers of changes, developments, and opportunities within major accounts.
- Disseminate information about Metso and its policies through social interaction with appropriate key personnel.
- Participate in major project negotiations.
- Facilitate meetings, conference calls, solve problems, and serve as a Metso consultant for the key account.
- Introduce new distributors to major accounts and work in tandem with them until they are proficient at servicing the customer.
- Use knowledge of major accounts’ changing attitudes and opinions to represent Metso’s interests and meet sales objectives.
- Prepare reports and recommend changes to enhance sales.
- 10+ years’ experience, with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the industry.
- Successful experience negotiating sales of large capital projects and equipment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills for problem resolution and sales negotiation.
- Proficiency in distribution laws and practices.
- Self-motivated and adept at working independently.
- Skilled in problem-solving and making sound business decisions.
- Effective communicators across all organizational levels.
