Position Details
The Dhillon School of Business (DSB) invites applications for one continuing full-time Instructor III position in Business Communications/Management on our Lethbridge campus, beginning March 1, 2026.
The successful candidate’s teaching assignment will focus on courses in business communications, organizational behavior, introductory business, and introductory human resources. Preference will be given to those who can also teach some upper level courses in human resources and/or business research methods. The instructor will work with other academic staff in the Organizational Behavior and Human Resources area.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a master’s degree in business, business communications, human resources, or a related degree; a DBA or Ph.D. in these areas is desirable.
The applicant must also have a demonstrated ability to provide innovative and effective teaching in a University environment. Online and hybrid teaching may be required in addition to in-person courses, and courses may also be taught in the evenings, in addition to daytime offerings. The applicant should have some related industry experience, and be willing and able to continue with limited ongoing practice involvement or similar activities to maintain their professional competence.
Instructor responsibilities include, but are not limited to: instruction and assessment; course content updating; pedagogical and assessment improvements; course and curriculum development; active involvement in School and Area governance; and other service activities such as committee service, participation in student related extra-curricular activities, and participation in industry events.
