Position Details
The Dhillon School of Business at the University Of Lethbridge is seeking applications for one tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Accounting on our Lethbridge Campus beginning July 1, 2026.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach and have in-depth knowledge of managerial accounting, ideally with knowledge of digital transformation or business analytics topics. Demonstrated research interests in one or more of the areas of business analytics, digital transformation, management accounting, or sustainability are required, with preference given to those with research interests in both data analytics/digital transformation and management accounting. The successful candidate will also be expected to help teach and supervise students in our graduate programs, such as our research-based M.Sc. in Management and our Master of Management programs.
Applicants should possess a PhD in Accounting or be in the final stages of completing their Ph.D. dissertation in Accounting. An accounting designation is also preferred. Applicants should have an active research program in one or more of the specified areas above, and experience teaching relevant courses at the University level.
A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and publishing research in quality journals is required. We also look for individuals who are interested in having demonstrated positive societal impact in their research and teaching. Online and hybrid teaching may be required in addition to in-person teaching, and courses may be taught in the evenings, in addition to day-time teaching.

The course load for a tenure track position is determined by the Dean in consultation with the successful candidate. It is typically a four course load of three credit hour courses per academic year, however this will depend on the needs of the Area and Faculty at the time of assignment. Teaching workload is reviewed and amended annually as needed.
