Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic dental office team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing exceptional administrative support.
DENTRIX or similar software experience of at least one year is a must!
This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with dental office procedures, as well as proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and in person, providing accurate information regarding services and procedures.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with privacy regulations, utilizing electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance eligibility.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.
- Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems; experience with Dentrix or Epic is a plus.
- Strong administrative skills including managing phone systems, scheduling software, and office equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
