Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in using dental software systems.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after procedures
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office
- Collaborate with other team members to provide exceptional patient care
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing and insurance verification when necessary
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in dental assisting, with familiarity in areas such as:
- Orthodontics and pediatrics preferred but not mandatory
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry
- Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is a plus
- Previous roles as a dental receptionist are advantageous
