Join our team as a Site Labourer and become an essential part of our dynamic site crew! In this role, you’ll be at the heart of daily operations, supporting every stage of the building process. You’ll roll up your sleeves to perform a variety of physical tasks, assist skilled trades, keep the site safe and spotless, and make sure materials and tools are ready and waiting. Your contributions will help drive projects forward, ensuring we meet deadlines and deliver top-quality results. The successful candidate will be joining us at Altitude at Three Sisters Mountain Village—a 239-home condo and townhome site in the vibrant community of Canmore, recognized as one of Alberta's most exciting new real estate developments. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the construction process, including design process, trade methodology, trade demarcation, and prevailing conditions.

What you'll be doing:
Site Operations
- Perform general labour tasks including site cleanup, material handling, and equipment setup.
- Assist tradespeople with basic tasks such as lifting, moving, and positioning materials.
- Load and unload deliveries and ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently.
- Maintain organized and hazard-free work areas.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Report unsafe conditions or incidents to the Site Superintendent immediately.
- Assist with setting up safety signage, barriers, and fencing as required.
Support to Site Team
- Respond to direction from the Assistant Site Superintendent and Site Superintendent.
- Help prepare areas for inspections, concrete pours, and other scheduled activities.
- Support coordination of trades by relaying messages or assisting with minor tasks.
- Participate in site meetings when requested and provide updates on assigned tasks.
Customer Service
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with homeowners or visitors.
- Assist with site preparations for owner walkthroughs and possessions.
- Other duties as assigned by the Construction Manager/Site Superintendent
What you bring to the team
- Previous experience in construction or general labour preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in outdoor conditions.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of construction tools and safety practices.
- Understanding of when situations should be escalated to appropriate members of management.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to adjust communication style to various personality types.
- Strong ability to develop interpersonal relationships with internal staff and external trades/suppliers.
Qualifications & Education
- High School Diploma
- Gold Seal Certificates and Safety Certificate such as WHMIS.
