The City of Pitt Meadows is hiring a CPIC Operator/Records Reviewer to maintain information in the Police Records Information Management Environment (PRIME) as well as the CPIC terminal, to ensure accurate dissemination of information with the various policing databases. This is an exciting opportunity to join our new RCMP detachment and help build something great from the ground up.
Reporting to the Manager of RCMP Support Services, this position involves moderately complex work updating and maintaining CPIC entries while ensuring entries and information is accurate through routine audits; sending and receiving CPIC narrative messages and actioning messages appropriately; maintaining occurrence files in PRIME and assigning appropriate UCR codes in accordance to policy-reviewing Master Name Index (MNI) entries for duplication and discrepancies; performing switchboard and other front counter duties; and preparing dispatch tickets. This position exercises considerable independent judgement, while referring more complex issues to a superior who also reviews work for conformance and effectiveness. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm with a 35-hour workweek. This position is anticipated to start in February/March 2026.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of Grade 12, including or supplemented by Police related courses that may include PRIME, UCR and CPIC Query and CPIC Maintenance courses, plus sound related experience, preferably in an RCMP detachment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Sound knowledge of the procedures used in operator CPIC computer equipment, Master Name Index, and PRIME system.
- Sound knowledge of UCR and OSR code systems, and other applicable Federal and Provincial Statutes enforced by the RCMP.
- Working knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada and other applicable statutes.
- Ability to prepare, maintain, process, and review a variety of materials to ensure requirement information is complete and accurate.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with sound knowledge of business English.
- Experience transcribing verbatim audio and/or video statements will be considered and asset.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP Security Clearance.
- Please note, the ability to obtain and maintain RCMP Security Clearance is required by the start date, and is a condition of employment. If you have an active clearance, please indicate your HRMIS number on your application.
