This position plans menus, prepares, and serves nutritional snacks and lunches in large quantities in accordance with Canada’s Food Guide and the Child Care & Early Years Act.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, shifts and hours may fluctuate depending on the needs of the Centre, minimum of 30 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 19 years of age
- Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years’ kitchen experience
- Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C
Skills:
- Organized with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan a varied menu for children in accordance with Canada's Food Guide and the Child Care & Early Years Act
- Ability to accommodate multiple allergies and/or food restrictions
- Skilled in preparation and cooking in large quantities
- Ability to work independently
- Regular lifting of up to 40lbs required
