Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in meal preparation and food handling. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation and ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and sanitation practices are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management.
- Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input for new dishes.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not mandatory.
