Mari Bakeshop is looking for a Commis Pastry Chef to join our team! You will be performing routine kitchen tasks and assist head pastry chef.
*Wednesday - Sunday 4AM - 12PM (8hr/day, 40hr/week)
-Responsibilities
- Filling choux pastries, slicing rollcakes and complete other morning set up for opening
- Bake and assemble rollcakes and tarts
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping fruits, separating eggs, etc
- Undertake basic cooking and baking duties such as making pastry cream, ganache, caramel, jams, fruit reduction, etc
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
- Clean as you go and maintain a sense of urgency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
