Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of service within the restaurant. A passion for hospitality and excellent customer service skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and provide them with menus.
- Manage seating arrangements and reservations efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment in the dining area.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or providing information as needed.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with a positive attitude, ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons.
- Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, to manage orders and payments accurately.
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant setting.
- Familiarity with food service operations and customer service best practices is essential.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with guests and team members.
- Experience with phone etiquette is important for managing reservations and inquiries professionally.
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
