About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Commercialization Coordinator to support our innovation team through research and assisting in the creation and refinement of our products from concept to launch. The Commercialization Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating activities across multiple departments to support the effective planning, execution, and delivery of new products. This role ensures projects stay on track, stakeholders are aligned, and timelines are met to achieve successful product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on competitor products, published journals and clinical trials, synthesize solid insights to inform product development strategies.
- Assist in the development and execution of product development plans, including coordinating timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and supply chain, to ensure alignment on product specifications and project timelines.
- Support the formulation and testing of new product prototypes, including coordinating lab trials and sensory evaluations.
- Assist in the management of product documentation, including specifications, formulas, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Purchasing Department to identify, meet, assess, and build relationship with new suppliers
- Collaborate with Brand and Finance to assists with competitive pricing & market analysis
- Participate in product development meetings, providing updates on project status, challenges, and opportunities.
- Assist in the review and approval of artwork, labeling, and packaging designs to ensure compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain organized records of project documentation, test results, and other relevant information to support product development efforts.
Skills and Qualifications You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, supply chain, business administration, food science, or related field
- 1+ year of experience in project management or commercialization coordination, purchasing or vendor management experience.
- Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging across all levels of the organization.
- Strong sense of urgency with proven ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Business-focused, collaborative, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of natural health product regulations and/or food and drug regulations is an asset.
- Experience with Asana or similar project management platforms is an asset.
- Bonus points if you are working towards your PMP.
