Job Overview
The primary role for an "Injection Field Tech" (IFT) is to execute the repairs of buried or above ground infrastructure utilizing the technologies such as Polyurethane/Epoxy injection and Polyurea lining.
Polyurethane/Epoxy Injection is a process used to repair, stabilize, and waterproof structures including foundations, slabs, and underground infrastructure.
Polyurea Lining is a high performance coating technique used for protecting surfaces from abrasion, corrosion, and chemical exposure. It’s commonly applied in industries such as wastewater management, mining, and construction, for tasks like lining tanks, pipelines, and secondary containment systems.
Responsibilities
- Site assessment and preparation
- Equipment set up
- Application of chosen solution
- Curing and post application tasks
- Post application tasks
- Documentation and reporting
- Safety and environmental considerations
- Quality Control
- Maintenance and troubleshooting
Physical Demands
- Employee is required to reach with both hands and arms
- Required to continuously stoop, bend, kneel, crouch and/or crawl
- Must be able to lift/and or move 100lbs, routinely lifting 50 pounds
Requirements
- Higher pay given to those with slab jacking and or polyurea injection
- Ability to travel 30-40% outside of the lower mainland in BC should the project require it
- Must have a drivers license
- Meet the physical demands
- Coating/trenchless experience is a bonus
Training
- We will train application techniques
- We will cover the cost for certifications such as confined space entry, CPR, and any other training needed that is project specific
