About Our Opportunity:
Increasing production capacity in NRNA demands highly skilled technicians to be employed in the biomanufacturing department. The proposed manufacturing technician will support the team in research and development biomanufacturing as well as a GMP manufacturing capacity. The manufacturing technician will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and controlling chemical processes used in the manufacturing of chemical products in accordance with cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations. This includes handling raw materials, operating reactors, filtration systems, dryers, and other processing equipment to ensure high-quality .
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring chemical process equipment such as reactors, centrifuges, filters, dryers, and distillation units.
2.Handle and charge raw materials, solvents, and intermediates according to batch production records.
3. Maintain detailed and accurate batch records, logs, and documentation in compliance with cGMP requirements.
4. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and company policies.
5. Accurately measure and document process parameters (temperature, pressure, pH, etc.).
6. Responsible for data collection and data entry.
7. Responsible for troubleshooting the process whenever required.
8. Troubleshoot and report process deviations or equipment malfunctions.
9. Participate in cleaning, sanitization, and changeover activities for equipment and production areas.
10. Assist in inventory management, including labeling, storage, and movement of materials.
11. Adhere to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, including use of PPE and safe chemical handling practices.
12. Responsible for performing required calibration of small equipment such as pH, Conductivity meters, balances.
13. Assisting the scientist to perform the analysis, method development/process development.
14. Responsible for maintaining the logbooks, and preparation of the technical report.
15. Performing tests whenever required.
16. Responsible for ensuring that the production facility is maintained in a neat and tidy manner in accordance with departmental policy.
17. Responsible for reviewing new or updated departmental SOPs and attending required training sessions.
18. Closely work with R&D and other teams to complete client’s order.
19. When assigned to work in a job centrally different from the one they are assigned to, they must work in a support role, shadow a Trained technician/Scientist who is trained and knowledgeable in the procedures specific to that area.
20. Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.
21. Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
22. All other relevant duties as assigned.
Education, Work Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
Formal Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/chemical engineering or diploma in chemical technology with relevant experience.
- Minimum one (1) years of recent related work experience in chemical or Biochemical field.
Work Experience:
- Experience in a sterile manufacturing facility, knowledge of sterilization theory, aptitude, knowledge of cGMP as it relates to aseptic/sterile processing/products.
- Good working knowledge of aseptic processing.
- Ability to work shifts (If necessary).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in computer systems and good working knowledge with MS Office applications and lean manufacturing tools.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- High attention to details with excellent time management and organization skills is a must.
Working conditions:
· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with hazardous materials and industrial equipment.
· Ability to work shifts.
