For applicants with more than 2 years experience working directly within diagnostic imaging in a reception role, with good knowledge of RIS/PACs and the overall process, we also offer an accelerated starting wage rate.
Working hours are usually Monday to Friday. There could be opportunity for some evening and weekend work. This is a casual relief role, with an expectation of at least 2 shifts a month.
Job Duties:
- Receiving phone calls, electronic forms and faxes and scheduling patients for exams
- Answering patient inquiries in person and by phone
- Answering calls, returning calls and messages
- Communicating with referring physician offices
- Booking appointments & following up on missed appointments
- Checking and addressing incoming e-mails, reports, scans, faxes etc
- When working at the clinics, checking patients in, validating health card, verifying requisition, inputting requisitions
Requirements
- Ability to effectively and quickly use software
- Experience with using computers
- Great customer service
- Preferred Medical Terminology course.
- Preferred prior work in a clinical and patient serving environment
- Previous experience working in a diagnostic imaging center will be acknowledged in starting wage rate
- Punctual & pristine attendance record
Skills
- Computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Works well in a team and independently
- Good decision making skills, works well under pressure and a fast learner.
