Job Opportunity: Receptionist
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and detail-oriented Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic. In this role, you will manage front desk operations, interact with patients, handle communications, and support administrative tasks to ensure a seamless patient journey. Your responsibilities will include greeting visitors, managing phone and email inquiries, scheduling appointments, processing payments, handling insurance billing, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive and professional first impression.
- Assist patients with intake forms and registration, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Communication & Scheduling:
- Answer inbound telephone calls and emails promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate and manage patient appointments using our electronic medical records system.
- Administrative Support:
- Process payments at the time of service and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Handle clinic billing, direct insurance billing, and manage accounts receivable.
- Perform daily laundry and other administrative tasks as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to promote additional clinic services or products that enhance patient care.
Schedule:
- Monday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
- Wednesday: 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm
- Thursday: 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm
- Friday: 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Qualifications:
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner.
- Ability to build effective relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Organizational & Decision-Making Skills:
- Excellent organizational abilities, managing multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Strong decision-making skills, able to assess situations and implement solutions quickly.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving:
- Calm under pressure, with the flexibility to adjust to changing clinic needs.
- A proactive self-starter who works well both independently and as part of a team.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with clinic management software and insurance billing (Jane App and Outlook experience is a plus).
- Strong computer skills.
Preferred Assets:
- Prior experience working in a healthcare clinic.
- Experience in customer service.
- Experience in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Experience Requirements:
- At least 1 year of receptionist experience (required).
- Previous clinic experience is preferred but not mandatory.
