Our Ideal Candidate
Allnorth is seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager, Major Projects to drive long-term growth and client engagement within our Major Projects group. This senior role is responsible for shaping and executing group growth strategies, securing multi-million-dollar opportunities, and positioning Allnorth as a trusted partner across energy, resources, infrastructure, and other key industry sectors.
Working alongside the VP Operations and reporting to the Chief Growth and Strategy Officer, this position plays a critical role in expanding market presence, shaping our opportunity pipeline, and mentoring regional BD leaders. The successful candidate will bring a proven ability to influence senior decision-makers and build partnerships that create lasting value for clients, Indigenous communities, and Allnorth.
A Day in the Life
- Drive revenue growth by securing new major projects, expanding existing accounts, and strengthening client retention strategies.
- Develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for Major Projects, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives.
- Guide and support local BD leaders to achieve weekly opportunity creation and win targets.
- Build strategic, executive-level client relationships and establish “Trusted Advisor” status across industries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify market opportunities, develop penetration strategies, and position Allnorth competitively.
- Provide leadership on proposal pricing, contract renewals, and key account management planning (KAMP).
- Represent Allnorth at industry events, client meetings, and service reviews, acting as a brand ambassador.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to anticipate opportunities and risks.
- Coach and develop high-performing BD teams in alignment with Allnorth’s leadership principles.
- Forge partnerships with Indigenous communities, joint ventures, and industry associations to unlock new opportunities.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Demonstrated track record of securing and delivering multi-million-dollar business development wins within engineering, consulting, or professional services industries.
- Strong understanding of client value drivers, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
- Executive presence with exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation skills; proven ability to influence senior decision-makers.
- University degree in engineering, science, or business is an asset.
- Experience building meaningful relationships and partnerships with Indigenous communities and businesses.
