- Provide end-to-end delivery of commercial services, completing outside and inside installations of broadband equipment and services.
- Deliver positive customer experiences by following best practices for customer service.
- Analyze and find solutions for emergency repair situations.
- Repair or replace faulty drop cables.
- Replace faulty broadband electronics, coaxial, and fibre optic cables.
- Document work orders, trouble calls, and site surveys accurately.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality control guidelines and company policies and procedures.
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent. Post-secondary education in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Must have the ability to obtain SCTE Certifications including SCTE-ISBE BPI, SCTE-BPT, SCTE-BPE, and SCTE-BCSS.
- Minimum three years of customer service experience is required.
- Minimum two years’ experience within telecommunications is required.
- Knowledge of or experience in electronic, network, and fibre installation and repair, broadband HFD distribution, construction, and residential and business wiring is required.
- Ability to read and understand plant maps, with an understanding of construction wiring practices.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must have no fear of heights (ladder work) and be able to carry 75 lbs.
- Must be able to be on-call for emergency services as needed with the potential of extended travel.
- Must have the ability to obtain Basic First Aid and CPR C.
