Job summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Brand Strategy and Customer Experience, the Brand and Go-to-Market Strategy Director acts as a visionary and strategic leader to enhance brand awareness and accelerate business growth. Working with our banners and the exclusive brands team, this leader designs and deploys impactful positioning and marketing strategies, maximizing impact on key consumer moments and major promotions. As the person responsible for brand consistency and differentiation, the Director ensures that tangible value and a strong connection with customers are created at every touchpoint, while positioning the organization distinctively in a highly competitive market.
Your mission at Legault Group:
- Define and strengthen the positioning and unique selling propositions (USPs) of each brand to outshine competition, consolidated into a clear and inspiring brand book;
- Safeguard quality and coherence across the full funnel, from awareness to conversion;
- Develop powerful go-to-market strategies for exclusive brands to maximize impact and business success;
- Orchestrate high-impact exclusive brand launches with traffic-driving, customer-centric GTM strategies;
- Build robust annual calendars that capture key macro and micro consumer moments, supported by practical playbooks and toolkits to ensure flawless in-store execution;
- Share insights and best practices across banners to maximize learning, scale successes, and drive consistency;
- Develop strong, recognizable visual and promotional tool identities for major macro and micro moments that can be leveraged across all banners.
Profil
Profile seeked:
- More than 12 years of experience in management positions in brand strategy, advertising, marketing, or go-to-market leadership roles;
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field;
- Proven experience in a central team supporting different banners;
- Proven experience in brand positioning and developing marketing strategies that generate measurable growth;
- Expertise in promotional strategy and execution, with experience in developing national campaigns and toolkits for multiple banners;
- In-depth understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive environments, with the ability to translate them into concrete strategies;
- Skills in orchestrating product launches, narrative building, and deploying traffic-generating campaigns;
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams (marketing, merchandising, exclusive brands, e-commerce, etc.) around common goals;
- Strong project management skills: ability to prioritize, structure, and adapt best practices across stakeholders and business areas;
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and engage all levels of the organization;
- Strategic mindset, but equally comfortable with implementation when necessary;
- Proven experience in budget management and optimization, with a particular focus on return on investment and efficiency;
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required, as you will be called upon to interact regularly with clients, partners, or employees of the organization across Canada in both official languages.
