Bookkeeper & Office Support Specialist
We're looking for a new team member to join our growing team. This hybrid role is perfect for an organized and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a flexible, remote environment and is eager to contribute across various aspects of our operations.
The position is currently part time but may move to full time in the future.
Key Responsibilities
As our Bookkeeper & Office Support Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health and supporting our day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Core Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Performing Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations with precision.
- Processing Payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Preparing and managing Tax Payments and related remittances.
- Assisting with Month-End and Year-End Closing procedures.
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate Financial Records.
- Supporting our team with Cash Flow Monitoring and Forecasting.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Organizing and managing important documents, including contracts, NDAs, and employment records.
- Handling Government Remittances and Compliance Documentation.
- Coordinating all insurance-related documentation.
- Administering vacation tracking for payroll purposes.
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial support role.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- A strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize your workload.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to clearly convey information.
- A high degree of discretion and trustworthiness when handling sensitive financial information.
- Experience with Canadian tax regulations and remittances (e.g., HST/GST, payroll deductions) is a significant asset.
Location
This is a work-from-home job. We prefer the person to live in Gander or surrounding area.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
