We are looking for a full-time bookkeeper to join our team at Canadian Commercial Vehicle Corp that is responsible for all bookkeeping, and payroll. Candidates must be adaptable to the multiple demands of the position and be comfortable working independently.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing bookkeeping and accounting tasks according to established processes and routines
- Processing monthly bank and G/L transactions into accounting software QBO
- Performing reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Preparation of regular external filings such as GST, PST, WCB, etc
- Preparation of weekly payroll, source deduction remittance and RRSP payments.
- Completion of routine account analysis following established procedures
- Preparation of monthly working paper files and financial statements
- Effective communication with our customers and suppliers, government agencies, our staff
- Completing ad-hoc duties as required
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:
- 1-5 years of experience of hands-on, bookkeeping and/or accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (Outlook, Excel and Word) and QB/QBO
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks
- Experience in a supervisory or management capacity
- High attention to detail
Wages between $26-32.00 per hour
