Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform account reconciliation and analysis to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage and Xero for efficient record-keeping.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Prepare budgets and assist in financial forecasting to support business planning.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data.
- Generate financial reports as needed for management review.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage and Xero.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
- Experience with account reconciliation, account analysis, and budgeting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not mandatory.
