The Asset Management Advisor is responsible for the overall development and strategy tactics for all Foran Mines current and new assets. They will work closely with the planning and engineering group as well as operational readiness to ensure the mine transitions from construction to operations seamlessly. Working primarily in the companies CMMS system, Pronto, this position will set up the system to maximize equipment availability and reliability. This position will also support in downtime reporting and improvements to the assets
Job Responsibilities:
- Leading asset strategy sessions with supervisors and planners, influencing the company internally.
- Act as liaison with external suppliers as needed.
- Develop and execute an asset management improvement plan.
- Oversee maintenance-related components of our Asset Management System Pronto.
- Map asset management processes from lifecycle planning and budgeting to work management and reliability.
- Implement standardized asset management practices across the business.
- Apply lifecycle planning principles to asset selection with a focus on reliability, availability, maintainability, and operability.
- Ensure assets operate within design limits to maintain reliability.
- Implement effective work management processes to support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- Develop reports and trends on asset integrity, MTBF, and support FMEA activities.
- Drive execution and continuous improvement of reliability tactics.
- Establish contractor management practices to mitigate safety, quality, and cost exposures.
- Optimize spare parts inventory to support availability while minimizing excess.
- Ensure process control standards and related work management strategies are in place.
- Develop zero-based budgets grounded in accurate master data and current strategy.
- Track and report asset management KPIs monthly to measure and improve performance.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in preventative, predictive, and reliability-based maintenance.
- Minimum of 5 years in the mining industry.
- Engineering degree preferred.
- Proficient with Asset Management Systems, especially Pronto.
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance systems and operations.
- Experience with reliability processes and condition-based monitoring programs.
- Knowledge of maintenance standards, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Familiarity with maintenance safety standards and compliance practices.
- Experience preparing maintenance budgets, work schedules, and performance reports.
- Proven ability to manage both short- and long-term maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of materials ordering and coordination procedures.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a one-year term contract with a competitive salary, employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, and travel support. Contractor arrangements are also considered, with terms to be discussed.
