We are seeking a Vice President, Advisor Growth & Succession to join our Individual Wealth team. This high-impact role is central to driving advisor recruitment, succession planning, and business growth across our national network. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead a team focused on expanding our advisor base through external recruitment of entrepreneurial advisors and portfolio managers, supporting succession acquisitions and transitions, and enhancing CL Individual Wealth’s value proposition in the market.
What you will do
Provide strong leadership to a high performing sales team including developing senior leaders through a clear and compelling vision, measurement of performance and continuous coaching.
Promote the Canada Life Individual Wealth value proposition to the external market and prospective advisors supported by a robust competitive lens of the wealth management marketplace and the competitors
Oversee recruiting by attracting experienced advisors and promoting our enhanced product and enhanced platform offerings
Manage advisor succession planning transactions, supporting a team dedicated to transitioning advisor practices
Design and execute marketing campaigns, track and report on the overall program’s success
Think outside of the box to attract new advisor business and promote growth through continuous program improvement
Deliver on Canada wide sales targets, successfully setting and managing team targets
Lead strategic initiatives including the implementation of a client relationship management tool and mapping out the end to end newly onboarded advisor experience
What you will bring
Over 10 years of experience in wealth management and advisor recruiting in a professional sales leadership role
Proven track record with success in wealth management sales and meeting defined targets
Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing talent
Strategic mindset with a track record of driving growth and transformation
Skilled in building and nurturing meaningful business relationships
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage key stake holders and clearly articulate a mandate that inspires interest and action
A passion for helping advisors through business growth and succession planning
Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Toronto, London, Winnipeg.
