What You Will Do
Complete the design, fabricate and install process for stations which include completing the following tasks:
Analyze the load and pressure, and min/max inlet pressure requirements from load sheets to resolve most appropriate station design for the application.
Perform field site visits when required to provide technical support to internal departments and customers to resolve any field challenges.
Respond to station inquiries from internal and external project partners.
Resolve appropriate standard station template or work with Stations Engineering to develop customized designs to meet site limitation, customer requirements, and complete station design sheet.
Work with Stations Engineering and or vendor fabricator and obtain engineering stamped station drawing, data sheet and quotes
Review station drawings, data sheet, and quote and approve accuracy of information.
Create station assets in Maximo.
Resolve and obtain Stations Engineering approvals when required.
Assess rebuild requests from the field to resolve whether the station can be repaired, altered or replaced.
Assist with the station selection, fabrication and install process for the Station Rebuild Program.
Attend station production meetings with Lakeside and New Business Team Leads and Representatives to make sure stations are being fabricated and installed according to project timelines.
Work with Stations Engineering at all phases, including red line station drawings, station alternations, record updates, providing technical support when changes in the field are required, and updating all the records to reflect these changes accordingly.
Who You Are
You will have the following:
Related university degree/ college diploma and 4 years’ experience or 6+ years gas utility experience. Strong preference for Distribution Operations and/or Engineering industry.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, takes initiative, and can work with minimal supervision.
Analytical and organizational skills required to ensure tasks are completed in an efficient manner.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.
Ability to lead numerous projects at one time.
Digital literacy and experience with the use of PC based applications (Maximo, GIS, Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred:
Knowledge of regulator sizing is an asset.
Comprehensive understanding of Enbridge Gas distribution system and knowledge of the operation of the types of stations serving the distribution systems and customers.
Understand applicable codes, standards, and apply company policies and practices in Distribution Operations.
Project management skills for handling the cycle of design, fabrication and installation of stations; PMP would be considered an asset.
